Masks & Rule Changes to Keep Players Safe

The Weston Soccer Club is planning a fall program using the guidelines set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Massachusetts Youth Soccer (MYSA), and the Town of Weston.

As of Friday, 24 July the Massachusetts Executive office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) has classified soccer as a Moderate Risk sport.  It was previously categorized as High Risk.  If conditions allow soccer to remain in the Moderate Risk category, town soccer clubs will be allowed to train normally and to play competitive league games.

On 4 September, 2020 MYSA provided UPDATED "Return to Soccer Activities Guidelines",  which we strongly urge you to read here: https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/assets/61/6/return_to_soccer_activities_phase_3_step_1_-_sep_4.pdf

MYSA's full Return to Play website section is here:  https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/return-to-soccer-activities/

We should all plan to check the guidelines regularly to stay abreast of the rules and their importance.

MYSA created summary guideline pages for players, parents and coaches; we attach them below, and will update these as they change as well.  We encourage you to read the attachments and print them for future reference.  All families should have an understanding of the guidelines that apply at the time before their child attends their first session.

The Weston Soccer Club is committed to providing a fun, exciting, and safe experience for your family; fun and excitement can only be present for children when they are safe,  and we will strongly enforce all applicable guidelines.  Please become familiar with all of the best practices for players, parents and coaches so that you can do your part to keep everyone safe, happy and playing.  We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.
